Despite Being The Away Team England Will Wear Home Kit Versus Italy In The Euro 2020 Final

For Sunday’s Euro 2020 final at Wembley, UEFA has confirmed that England will wear white shirts, while Italy will wear blue.

In contrast to the Three Lions’ navy blue shorts and white socks, the Azzurri will wear white shorts and blue socks.

Despite the fact that the game is being played in London, Italy is technically the home team due to the draw, and they have chosen to wear their traditional kit, leaving England to do the same.

England fans may be comforted to discover that white shirts have been lucky at Euro 2020. Roberto Mancini’s side has only worn blue-white-blue once this tournament, in a 1-0 group-stage victory over Wales.

England, on the other hand, has only worn white-blue-white for the last two knockout matches against Ukraine and Denmark, after wearing all-white for the first four matches.

Gareth Southgate’s side might take heart from the fact that white-clad teams have won all nine of the Euro 2020 matches that have been played in that color.

Jordan Pickford, who won the Golden Glove after claiming five clean sheets, will wear a green kit, while Gianluigi Donnarumma will keep the yellow kit he used to save Alvaro Morata’s penalty.

Pickford last wore the all-green shirt in the group stage against Czech Republic, while Donnarumma has worn yellow against Switzerland and in the semi-final against Spain, where he saved Alvaro Morata to effectively win Mancini’s side the match.

Italy and England have also decided to take a knee before the game to raise awareness about discrimination and the fight against racism.
