Cristiano Ronaldo Won The Golden Boot At Euro 2020 With Five Goals Beating Out Patrik Schick

After Sunday’s final, Cristiano Ronaldo has officially won the European Championship Golden Boot with five goals.

His victory was confirmed as England fell 3-2 on penalties to Italy after a 1-1 draw in extra time at Wembley Stadium.

During the competition, Juventus forward Ronaldo scored five goals in four games, tying him with Czech Republic forward Patrik Schick.

Although losing 1-0 to Belgium in the last 16, Fernando Santos’ side scored seven goals in Group F, the ‘Group of Death,’ with Ronaldo scoring the vast bulk of them.

Raphael Guerreiro scored late against Hungary, then a brace in a 3-0 win, before Ronaldo then then Diogo Jota scored in a 4-2 loss to Germany, and the ex-Manchester United winger added another double in a 2-2 tie with France.

England’s Raheem Sterling (left) and Harry Kane (second left) were unable to add to their respective tally of three and four goals in Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley.

However, the Three Lions were held to a 1-1 draw in normal and extra time, with Luke Shaw’s goal cancelled out by Leonardo Bonucci’s equalizer before the Azzurri prevailed on penalties, ensuring Ronaldo’s victory just hours after his great rival Lionel Messi’s victory with Argentina in the Copa America.

Ciro Immobile, Matteo Pessina, Manuel Locatelli, and Federico Chiesa, among many others, all scored for Roberto Mancini’s team.
