From Leicester Youri Tielemans Is Pushing For A Ps64 Million Move To Liverpool

Youri Tielemans ‘wants to join Liverpool,’ but Leicester City want at least PS64 million for the Belgian international.

The 24-year-old midfielder produced a magnificent goal to win the FA Cup final against Chelsea last season, but he struggled at Euro 2020, losing to Italy in the quarter-finals.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is said to be interested in signing Tielemans, with manager Jürgen Klopp seeing him as the ideal successor for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Liverpool are apparently interested in signing Belgium and Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, who is valued at PS64 million. Tielemans scored the winning goal in Leicester’s FA Cup final victory against Chelsea. Belgian site Voetbal24 reports that Tielemans is eager to transfer to Anfield and that Liverpool are willing to match Leicester’s demands.

Renato Sanches, Saul Niguez, Florian Neuhaus, and Yves Bissouma have all been linked with Liverpool ahead of the new season, and Tielemans has emerged as the frontrunner.

After a successful loan spell at Monaco, Leicester paid PS32 million for Tielemans in July 2019. He has 108 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals.

Jürgen Klopp wants to bolster Liverpool’s midfield options ahead of the new season. The Belgium international, 24, scored the game-winning goal for Leicester against Chelsea from long range. Tielemans has played 108 games for Leicester since joining from Monaco.

Working under Klopp at Anfield as Liverpool attempts to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League crown is undoubtedly appealing to the Belgian international.

Back in May, Tielemans’ long-range strike at Wembley earned Leicester their first-ever FA Cup victory, and he was awarded man of the match.
