After Manchester United player Paul Pogba missed a penalty in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, a black and white artwork on a wall in Withington was damaged with racist graffiti.

On Tuesday, street artist Akse rebuilt the painting, and dozens of expressions of solidarity were placed on it to cover up the abuse.

The crowds began forming about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, holding banners and chanting “Black Lives Matter.”

The masses began to gather about 6 p.m., holding placards and chanting “Black Lives Matter.”

Hundreds of people came out to show their support for Stand Up to Racism, and they were given posters.

Following the racist abuse he and his England teammates endured during the Euro 2020 final, Rashford has received an outpouring of support.

Following the team’s loss, the striker, 23, penned a passionate social media post.

He felt like he had “betrayed everyone” by missing a penalty kick.

F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, models Bella Hadid and Cara Delevigne, and singer Anne Marie were among the celebrities who supported the cause.

Manchester United, Rashford’s club, also tweeted that “love always wins” after the mural was restored.

Rashford thanked supporters for their support earlier this week.

“The communities that have always put their arms around me continue to support me,” he stated.

Marcus Rashford, a black man from Withington and Wythenshawe in South Manchester, is 23 years old.
