Roma Is Interested In Loaning Manchester Uniteds Alex Telles

Roma are in negotiations with Manchester United about loaning Alex Telles as the Italian club looks to fill the void left by Leonardo Spinazzola’s injury.

Telles, a Brazilian left-back, only joined United in October in a PS15.4 million trade from Porto.

However, because to Luke Shaw’s good record, he has had limited opportunity at Old Trafford, starting only eight Premier League games.

Signed only last October, Manchester United left-back Alex Telles has found opportunities restricted at Old Trafford, according to reports in Italy. Telles might potentially be loaned out to Roma, where he would play under former United boss Jose Mourinho.

Telles has been requested to join Roma on loan, but rumors say that despite his brief spell at the club, United is only interested in a permanent deal.

With regular left-back Spinazzola, a Euro 2020 star, out for seven to nine months with a damaged achilles tendon, Roma simply need a loan transfer for Telles to provide cover.

With Leonardo Spinazzola out until next year due to an achilles injury, new Roma boss Jose Mourinho needs left-back insurance. Telles has previous Serie A experience, having spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Inter Milan from Galatasaray before going to Porto.

Telles participated in 24 games for United in the 2020-21 season, with the majority of his time spent warming the bench.

Before England left-back Shaw regained his form and held down the job, he played in four Champions League group games.
