Aston Villa Fans Have Reason To Expect That Jack Grealish Will Stay Despite Manchester Citys Interest

Aston Villa fans have been offered a lift ahead of pre-season, with Jack Grealish hinting that he would be willing to stay at the club.

Since returning to the Premier League two years ago, the playmaker has been a standout for the club, and has subsequently gone on to become a household name in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Although rarely starting, he has been regarded as an important member of England’s squad as they came within a whisker of winning Euro 2020 on Sunday at Wembley in a penalty shootout.

Jack Grealish poses with the new Aston Villa shirt for the 2021-22 season. The 25-year-old’s progress at his boyhood club has piqued the curiosity of the Premier League’s elite, notably champions Manchester City, who are considering a PS100 million raid on the Villa Park favourite.

Grealish, on the other hand, appears to be confident in his future with Villa, who utilized him to promote the club’s new home kit, which will be worn during the 2021-22 season.

Grealish was anxious to express his affection for the Villa Park outfit as part of the kit unveiling.

Grealish stated in promotional material that he had a strong bond with the club. ‘Everyone understands what the claret and blue means to me,’ he said.

‘I’ve been a Villa boy my whole life, and I love playing for this club,’ Grealish said on Twitter. But, supporters were divided on the announcement, with some arguing that Villa wouldn’t risk selling their new kit with him if they were willing to sell him.

‘There’s no way they’d market him this much if he’s off,’ one admirer remarked.

‘If you think I’m paying PS110 to get this new top with Grealish 10 on the back after for the third year running you’re definitely right!!!’ another fan joked about the price of the kit before confessing they were ready to purchase the new strip with Grealish’s name on the reverse, saying: ‘If you think I’m paying PS110 to get this new top with Grealish 10 on the back after for the third year running you’re absolutely right!!!’

‘Jack Grealish was a key part in England’s run to the Euro 2020 final, but one fan was skeptical of Grealish’s statements and feared lightning striking twice, referencing ex-midfielder Fabian Delph, who signed a contract with Villa in 2015 before joining Manchester City only days later.

‘Didn’t Delph do something similar?’ the supporter continued.

‘, before adding a snake emoji.

Villa are anxious to maintain their key man, with the club apparently hoping to arrange a one-year contract extension with Grealish that would increase his weekly wage to around PS150,000.
