Atletico Madrid Are Attempting To Offload The Liverpool Target This Summer According To The Player

Saul Niguez, an Atletico Madrid midfielder, has reportedly stated that the club is attempting to sell him this summer, despite Liverpool’s interest.

Saul has been extensively linked with a move to Liverpool, who are looking to replace Gini Wijnaldum in the team.

The Dutchman left on a free transfer after a five-year spell at the club, and his departure will be felt as he was a major member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Saul has been one of Atletico Madrid’s most reliable players in recent years.

The club, on the other hand, is looking to sell him in order to raise revenue.

“They’re kicking me out of here, man,” Saul says in response to supporters’ pleas for him to stay. pic.twitter.com/SSEJZ1uQKl — Footy Accumulators (@FootyAccums) July 15, 2021 Atletico Madrid has already signed Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese, and he is anticipated to assume Saul’s spot in the squad.

When asked about his future by a group of supporters during pre-season, Saul replied, “They’re kicking me out of here, man.” Barcelona are now aiming to cut their salary bill, and the Blaugrana have been linked with a move for Saul in a swap deal that would see Antoine Griezmann move the opposite way.

With Lionel Messi no longer under contract with Barcelona, Griezmann is the club’s biggest earning.

It’s unclear whether Saul will be interested in joining Liverpool if they make a proposal.

The chance to stay in Spain may entice the midfielder.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are nearing a agreement to trade Saul and Griezmann!

In the last several hours, both players granted their approval.

Barca and Atletico Madrid are now debating price tags.

Barca wants money included in the deal.

If the deal falls through, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in Saul.

— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 14, 2021 Liverpool will have to pay at least PS35 million to sign Saul.

Saul, who is still only 26, might be a long-term successor for Wijnaldum.

He isn’t prone to injuries and would be a good fit in Liverpool’s midfield.

The Reds will want to complete the deal and beat Barcelona to Saul’s signing, as he would be a good buy in an otherwise overpriced transfer market.
