James Donachie Of Fc Goa Has Signed A Contract With Sydney Fc Of The A League

FC Goa defender James Donachie, who played for the team in the Indian Super League (ISL) and the AFC Champions League last season, will play for Sydney FC in the A-League this season.

The team has inked a one-year contract with the Queensland-born defender.

Donachie started his A-League career in 2010 with Brisbane Roar, where he made 62 appearances in six years.

Before joining the Newcastle Jets in 2020, he had periods with Melbourne Victory and Jeonnam Dragons in Korea.

Last season, the Australian centre-back made 23 appearances for the Gaurs, helping them reach the ISL semi-finals.

FC Goa finished third in Group E of the AFC Champions League in 2021, with three draws.

Aaren D’Silva has left the Gaurs to join Hyderabad FC, while Glan Martins has extended his contract with the club for another three years.

Martins had played in the ISL for ATK Mohun Bagan before joining his current team in the January transfer window.
