Players From The Premier League Will Return To Their Clubs After Competing In The Euro 2020 Copa America And Olympics

Before the new season begins on August 13, Premier League clubs are back in training and already playing pre-season games, but some of the biggest players are still on the beach.

After their final game, each player is permitted a three-week rest, which means that if they represented their countries in Euro 2020 or the Copa America, they may not be joining up for a time.

Chelsea will be without 16 first-team players for the start of Thomas Tuchel’s first pre-season at the club, while Manchester City will be without 15 players.

Burnley, on the other hand, are down to just two players, one of which is Chris Wood, who might be out until August 28 if New Zealand wins Olympic gold.

The Athletic keeps track of who is away and when they are scheduled to return to each team.
