Ac Milan Has Signed Striker Olivier Giroud On A Permanent Basis From Chelsea

Olivier Giroud has joined AC Milan on a permanent basis from Chelsea for an unknown price.
On Friday, the 34-year-old French international had a medical before praising Chelsea for the “wonderful memories” he made during his three-and-a-half-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
The fee for Giroud is thought to be approximately EUR1m (PS855,000), with an additional EUR1m (PS855,000) in bonuses contingent on a certain number of appearances and Champions League qualification.
“My objective is to win some titles,” Giroud remarked after joining AC Milan.
“That is why I play football.”
“I am a competitor who wants to win again and again,” Giroud said. Giroud joined Chelsea from Arsenal in January 2018 for PS18 million and won the FA Cup, Europa League, and the Champions League most recently in May.
In 119 appearances for Chelsea, he scored 39 goals, including 11 last season.

Last summer, Giroud signed a new one-year contract with Chelsea, and the club recently exercised an option to extend it for another 12 months.
He was a member of France’s Euro 2020 campaign when they were knocked out on penalties by Switzerland in the round-of-16 stage following a 3-3 draw after extra-time.
Fikayo Tomori was signed by AC Milan earlier this summer when the club exercised their PS25 million option to buy the defender following a successful six-month loan spell with Chelsea.
Hakim Ziyech and Tiemoue Bakayoko of Chelsea are other targets for the Serie A club.
After a seven-year absence, they will return to the Champions League next season.
