Bendeguz Bolla A Hungary International Has Joined Wolves

What is Bolla’s backstory?
After a loan spell with Zalaegerszeg the previous season, Bolla broke into the Fehervar team in Hungary’s premier flight last season.
In 2020-21, he appeared in 37 games, scoring one goal and assisting on five others.
Last season, he received his first call-up to the Hungary squad, earning two appearances in the country’s Euro 2020 warm-up games against Cyprus and Republic of Ireland.
Bolla was selected for Hungary’s Euro 2020 squad but did not play during the event. He previously captained Hungary Under-21s in the Euro Under-21 championships.
Why was he assigned to the Grasshoppers?
Wolves and the Swiss side, who were promoted back to the top level in May, share an unofficial alliance.
Jenny Wang, the wife of Fosun CEO Guo Guangchang, owns grasshoppers.
Last season, Wolves sent five players on loan to the club, and Bolla joins attackers Leo Bonatini and Leo Campana, as well as Portuguese defender Toti Gomes.
What’s been said so far?
“He showed what promise he has last season,” Seyi Olofinjana, former Wolves loans manager and currently Grasshoppers sporting director, said of Bolla.
He was able to gather a lot of experience at a young age, both on a national and international level.” (Picture courtesy of Laszlo Szirtesi/Getty Images)
