Financial Manager Sentenced To Prison For Defrauding A Relatives Care Company Of Ps173000

A care provider’s finance manager has been sentenced to six years in prison for cheating his employer of approximately PS200,000.
Between February 2018 and June 2020, Bradley Young, 24, of Forest End, Waterlooville, Hampshire, pleaded guilty to fraud by abuse of position against Platinum Care At Home at Portsmouth Crown Court.
“Platinum Care At Homes owner contacted Hampshire Constabulary in July 2020 to complain that Young had moved PS173,183 to his own personal bank account during the course of his employment,” a Hampshire police spokesman said.
“This conduct was uncovered when the company’s owner discovered that the books were not adding up and engaged an accountant,” Detective Constable Jenny Gibson said. “Young misused his employer’s trust, who is also a family member, to take almost PS200,000 for his own selfish gain.”
