Burnley Are Likely To Sign Wayne Hennessey A Former Crystal Palace Goalkeeper On A Free Transfer This Week

Burnley are set to sign goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey on a free transfer this week.
The 34-year-old veteran left Crystal Palace when his contract expired, having appeared 132 times in all competitions during his eight-year stay at SE25.
Chelsea and Aston Villa were also interested in Hennessey, with Thomas Tuchel and Dean Smith previously evaluating him as a backup option.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche (pictured) has brought in ex-Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey on a free transfer this week to give support for No 1 Nick Pope. The 96-cap Wales international conducted negotiations with Burnley last week, and the signing is set to be finalised on Monday.
Sheffield Wednesday have inquired about loaning Bailey Peacock-Farrell from Burnley.
Peacock-Farrell, 24, did make eight appearances in all competitions last season, but Clarets manager Sean Dyche may believe he can receive more playing time and senior experience at another club, albeit on a temporary basis.
