Juventus Are Attempting To Recruit Italys Manuel Locatelli Before Arsenal

In the coming days, Juventus will undertake more conversations with Sassuolo about the possibility of signing Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who is also wanted by Arsenal.
Sassuolo are demanding EUR40 million (PS34.3 million) for the Euro 2020 winner, who scored twice in Italy’s 3-0 triumph over Switzerland and appeared in five of the seven games as they won the tournament.
Juventus has offered EUR30 million, but only as a loan for the 2021-22 season, with a purchase obligation next summer.
Sassuolo has rejected Juve’s original offer, stating that they are not interested in a loan plus obligation to buy deal.
This summer, they seek an outright move.
The player prefers to join Juventus because he wants to play in the Champions League next season.
Arsenal is willing to pay the EUR40 million asking price, but will wait to see what happens between Juventus and Sassuolo before making a move.
Arsenal have finalised a PS50 million deal to sign defender Ben White from Brighton, with the England defender poised to sign a contract until 2026 after he returns from his break.
Albert Sambi Lokonga will join from Anderlecht until 2026 after the two clubs agreed on a cost of EUR17.5 million (PS15 million) plus EUR4.5 million (PS3.85 million) in potential add-ons.
