While cameras flashed at tonights 27th amFAR gala at the Cannes film festival in the south of France, one star continued to shine, Sacha Jafri, the world’s second highest-selling living artist.
The sumptuous gala, now in its 27th year, was hosted by Sharon Stone, with Alicia Keys giving a stunning performance in support of AIDS research.
With COVID-19 procedures in place, the 27th edition of one of the festival’s most anticipated nights was a smaller, more private occasion than previous years, with the exclusive guest list reduced down from 900 to 400 people.

Sacha and Billionaire philanthropist Javed Fiyaz, co-founder of, sold just over 1,500 units for a total of 750,000 euros ($950,000) in less than one minute, despite the fact that some had already left.
Scott Fletcher, a tech entrepreneur and crypto investor, not only bought all 1,500 editions, but also won the winning bid for the artist’s live painting for over 1 million euros.
Sacha raised almost 1.75 million euros in total, with all earnings from the NFT sale and physical print going to Aids and Covid 19 research.
The NFT sale, which was held in partnership with Javed Fiyaz and his charity-focused NFT platform,, outsold an Andy Warhol Mickey Mouse piece for 375,000 euros ($442,702), a Chopard 18-karat white gold diamond, and a Michael Kagan Astronaut for 400,000 euros ($472,215.60).
Not simply did Sacha win first place in terms of money raised, but this open edition NFT was only the pre-sale.
From July 22nd to July 27th, fans of the artist will have the opportunity to get their hands on one of the most anticipated NFT debuts of the year.
