Brighton Have Canceled Their Pre Season Training Camp In Scotland Due To Covid 19 Concerns

What caused the trip to be canceled?
After doing a risk assessment, the club determined that if anyone in or around the traveling party tested positive for COVID-19, the trip would be too disruptive and cause too many logistical challenges.
Instead, the squad will practice at the club’s high performance centre in Lancing.
What impact has this had on their preseason games?
The friendly versus Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off) will go ahead as planned.
On the day of the game, the team will fly into and out of Glasgow.
To commemorate 10 years since the clubs moved to the Amex Stadium, Brighton will play friendlies away to Championship side Luton Town on Saturday, July 31 (3pm kick-off) and at home to La Liga side Getafe on Saturday, August 7 (7pm kick-off).
The Getafe match was only announced last Friday because the club’s ambitions to invite foreign opponents were hampered by a wait for government advice on new coronavirus restrictions.
On August 14, Brighton will play Burnley in the Premier League for the sixth consecutive season, a club record.
What is the most recent information on Brighton’s transfer activity?
Marc Cucurella of Getafe is being pursued by Brighton.
He is with Spain’s under-23s squad for the Tokyo Olympics, where they will play Egypt in their first group game on Thursday.
On Saturday, Brighton finalized the acquisition of Ajax goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen, who stands at 6ft 8ins tall.
Meanwhile, winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh has joined Feyenoord on a permanent basis.
