Dane Murphy Has Been Named As The New Ceo Of Nottingham Forest

Murphy, who is he?
The 35-year-old was born in Connecticut and spent eight years playing professionally, including stints with DC United in Major League Soccer and VfL Osnabruck in Germany before returning to the United States to play for the New York Cosmos.
Before joining Barnsley two years ago, he worked with the New York Cosmos, Real Salt Lake, and DC United in key technical and recruitment capacities.
Murphy succeeds Ioannis Vrentzos, who will leave down as CEO of the City Ground after four years, but will remain on the Forest board.
What’s been said so far?
“It’s a legendary club with international acclaim.”
Mr. (Evangelos) Marinakis has put his faith in me to lead the club forward, which is humbling.
Murphy told the club’s website, “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and I can’t wait to get started.”
“To the fans, I eagerly anticipate meeting you and representing your club.”
It’s been such a trying time for you, and as I can see by your constant support in renewing season cards, this is a very special club for you.
“We’re on the verge of something truly incredible, and this city, with its devoted fans and incredible global supporters, deserves it.”
“However, the work begins right now.”
We need to talk about transfers with Chris Hughton, who is a well regarded, experienced, and successful manager at the top level of the game.
“We are about to embark on a difficult yet thrilling trip.”
“Everyone lucky to work for and represent your football club will not rest until we bring you the success that you deserve,” said Chairman Nicholas Randall.
“The fact that the club has been able to fend off interest from other clubs demonstrates the owner’s dedication to the club.”
