Luke Shaw Appeared In Three Euro 2020 Matches With Fractured Ribs

Luke Shaw, England’s left-back, reportedly played with broken ribs against Ukraine, Denmark, and Italy at Euro 2020.
The Manchester United full-back was a revelation for Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions this summer, scoring one goal and assisting three times in six appearances.
According to The Telegraph, the defender played Ukraine in the quarter-finals, Denmark in the last four, and Italy in the final at Wembley with damaged ribs.
Luke Shaw had broken ribs when he put England ahead in the Euro 2020 final – the left back scored the opener against Italy inside two minutes at Wembley. The 26-year-old defender got the injury in the last-16 victory over bitter rivals Germany, according to the article.
The Red Devils are waiting for Shaw to return from his summer sabbatical to see how much damage has been done.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be without attacker Marcus Rashford for the start of the 2021-22 season, however a decision on whether he will require surgery for his shoulder injury has yet to be made.
Shaw’s left-back cover, Alex Telles, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Last weekend, the quartet was photographed singing Neil Diamond’s hit Sweet Caroline in a restaurant on the Greek island of Mykonos, while Shaw was later photographed on a yacht with midfielders Mount and Rice.
