Marko Grujic And Taiwo Awoniyi Have Agreed To Sell Their Liverpool Jerseys

What is the reason for Grujic’s departure?
According to the Athletic, Porto beat out Sporting and Sassuolo for Grujic’s services.
The interest of Sassuolos was always contingent on the departure of Italy international Manuel Locatelli.
Earlier in the window, Sporting had a bid of PS6 million rejected.
After thriving on loan under Sergio Conceicao last season, Grujic was eager to return to Porto on a permanent basis.
They can provide Champions League football, and he needs regular game time to realize his aim of representing Serbia at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Following his PS5.1 million transfer from Red Star Belgrade in 2016, the 25-year-old made 16 appearances for Liverpool.
Loan spells with Cardiff City, Hertha Berlin, and Porto have netted him nearly PS3 million in fees.
What about Awoniyi, for example?
Union Berlin has agreed to pay PS6.5 million for Awoniyi, a club record transfer fee.
Mainz, a Bundesliga team, is also interested in the Nigerian striker.
Awoniyi leaves having never played for Liverpool due to work visa concerns that forced him to be loaned out multiple times.
Yet, given that he cost merely PS300,000 from Imperial Soccer Academy in his hometown in 2015, the deal marks a big return for the club.
Awoniyi was finally granted a work permit allowing him to play in the United Kingdom earlier this year, which piqued the curiosity of a number of English clubs, including Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, and Stoke City, but no firm offers were made.
In Germany, he is well regarded, and he, like Grujic, is returning to the club where he spent last season on loan.
