While Klopp Generates Finances Liverpool Midfielder Marko Grujic Is Expected To Join Porto For Ps10 5 Million

Liverpool are expected to approve the PS10.5 million transfer of midfielder Marko Grujic to Porto in the next days.
When Jürgen Klopp took over as manager of Liverpool in October 2015, he made his first signing at Anfield, but he has struggled for playing time since then.
The 25-year-old has raised his stock and attracted suitors thanks to a succession of loan moves throughout Europe, including Hertha Berlin and most recently Porto.
According to Goal, Liverpool are likely to sanction the PS10.5 million sale of midfielder Marko Grujic to Porto. Grujic will now be permanently acquired by Porto ahead of the new season.
The midfielder is presently practicing with the Liverpool senior team in Austria, but was told at the start of the transfer window that the Reds were trying to move him.
Liverpool had set a PS15 million price tag on Grujic and were said to have stood firm when teams asked for a lower figure.
Grujic (right) starred in the Champions League while on loan at Porto last season. The Serbian has been a Liverpool player for several seasons, but his opportunities have been restricted. Today, however, it is said that a PS10.5 million agreement with Porto will be sanctioned after the Primeira club agreed to a 10% sell-on provision for any future transaction involving the player.
Despite having already completed the PS35 million transfer of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool sources have previously stated that the club will not be spending heavily this summer.
Klopp’s team operates on a self-sustaining sell-to-buy paradigm, which is anticipated to continue this summer, as it has in the past.
Michael Edwards, the sporting director, has been tasked with removing the deadwood from the senior ranks and producing a profit in order to reinvest in future talent.
Liverpool is also said to be on the verge of selling Nigerian attacker Taiwo Awoniyi.
PS6.5 million is being discussed.
The 23-year-old has also been practicing with Austria’s first squad and is set to have a medical with Union Berlin ahead of a move to Germany.
Liverpool are also hoping to transfer Welsh winger Harry Wilson this summer, with Fulham leading the race for the PS15 million-rated player.
