Bernard Is On The Verge Of Leaving Everton With Clubs In The United Arab Emirates Showing Interest

Bernard has been at Everton for how long?
Everton signed the winger in August 2018 and he signed a four-year contract with the club.
Initial worries about his small stature and lack of muscle were raised, but Marco Silva believed his technical abilities surpassed them.
Is his departure unexpected?
This comes as no surprise.
Bernard is a popular player among the Goodison Park faithful, but the 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact on a regular basis, frequently finding himself on the bench.
In January, he appeared to be on the verge of joining UAE club Al-Nasr, but the deal fell through.
Bernard has only scored five league goals in three years at the club, and the same can be said for assists.
Benitez appears to want to strengthen the squad in all areas, rendering the Brazilian surplus to needs — he did not return to pre-season training with the rest of the squad.
So, what’s new with Gray?
Gray is said to be close to a deal, with only the finer elements of the agreement to be worked out.
The 25-year-old had a physical yesterday and is hoping to join the Everton squad on their pre-season tour of the United States.
This morning, the team will fly to Florida.
What else does Everton do for a living?
Townsend reunites with Benitez, who he worked with at Newcastle United in 2016, on a free transfer.
Burnley’s Dwight McNeil is another target, with manager Sean Dyche looking to bring in wingers if at all feasible.
The only other confirmed acquisition is goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who joins on a free transfer from Bournemouth.
Theo Walcott and Joshua King have left Arsenal for Southampton and Watford, respectively, on free transfers.
Everton has not received any money in either direction so far this summer as Benitez attempts to rebuild after Ancelotti’s year and a half at the helm.
