Is Baseballs Restriction On Sticky Substances Causing More Pitcher Injuries

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a partial UCL rupture and a flexor strain only days before Major League Baseball began cracking down on the usage of adhesive substances.
He wasn’t shy about revealing how he believes he got harmed. “I woke up the next day and it was like, I’m aching in places I didn’t even know I had muscles in,” he told reporters.
“I had a entirely different feeling.”
My fastball and curveball grips were altered.
“I’ve thrown it the same way for however many years I’ve played baseball.” Glasnow was sure that his injury was caused by a sudden shift in his grip.
