Who Players Will Compete In The 2021 Tokyo Olympics Football Tournament

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams will compete in the football competition.
But how many of the finest players in the world will be present?
In the men’s competition, there will be no GB team, but in the women’s game, Steph Houghton and her teammates will represent the nations.
In the women’s competition, there are no age limitations, but men’s squads are limited to players under the age of 24 – with three overage players allowed.
Here’s a summary of some of the show’s prominent names.
Spain is serious about business in the men’s tournament.
They have chosen 18-year-old Pedri as one of the players of the tournament, in addition to first-choice goalkeeper Unai Simon from their Euro 2020 roster.
Will Pedri be a star performer once more?
Dani Ceballos, who spent last season on loan with Arsenal, is also in, as is Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio and Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal.
It’s a formidable group.
Brazil won the gold medal on home soil in 2016 and has picked a strong-looking group this year.
Although Neymar is absent, Everton’s Richarlison, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, and Hertha Berlin’s Matheus Cunha give some attacking force.
Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa gives some midfield crunch, while veteran Dani Alves is an inspired decision as an overage player.
New Zealand Chris Wood, a Burnley striker, and Winston Reid, a former West Ham defender, have been included to the Kiwis’ roster.
There will be no Lionel Messi or any other big names in Argentina, but Brighton playmaker Alexis Mac Allister will be trying to make an impression.
England captain Steph Houghton and Wales captain Sophie Ingle are among the recognizable faces in the GB squad for the women’s event.

Fran Kirby, the Super League Player of the Year, has been called up, as has experienced midfielder Jill Scott, one of 11 Manchester City players.
Marta, a Brazilian superstar, will compete in her sixth Olympics, while Carli Lloyd, Megan Rapinoe, and Alex Morgan headline the American team.
When will the matches take place?
Team GB will begin the action against Chile in Sapporo on Wednesday, July 21 (8.30 a.m. BST), while the men’s event will begin the next day.
