Antoine Griezmann Has A Market Says Barcelona President Joan Laporta

What’s been said so far?
“Griezmann is a Barcelona player; he has a contract with the club until 2024, and we are counting on him unless circumstances change.”
“We can’t dispute that there’s been some market activity, and we can’t deny that there’s been interest in him.”
That’s a proof of his excellence.
“It’s a unique market, and you have to go outside the box, potentially in terms of swap transactions, but we place a high value on Antoine.”
The club made a significant investment on him, and we are pleased with his performance.
“It’s difficult for a club to make an offer for a player of his caliber.”
Nonetheless, the transfer window is still open, and Griezmann is on the market.
“We’re open to all bids if things start moving because we’re in a difficult financial situation and need to balance the books to comply with the league’s financial fair play criteria.” Why does Barcelona need to sell?
The club’s financial crisis has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, with gross debt reaching approximately EUR1.2 billion.
Players and the board have had disagreements regarding wage decreases.
Empires rise and fall, but few do it as spectacularly as Barcelona, which was regarded as one of the best club teams ever built a decade ago.
What players have they signed for the next season?
Thus far, Barcelona has brought in five players.
Together with Depay from Lyon, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia have signed on free transfers, as have Emerson from Real Betis and Carles Alena’s return from a loan spell at Getafe.
