Karim Benzema Of Real Madrid Has Tested Positive For Covid 19

Karim Benzema, a famous striker for Real Madrid, has tested positive for Covid-19.
After only recently rejoining the squad following his end-of-season holiday, Los Blancos released a statement on Friday morning stating that the French international had returned a positive test.
Since France’s shock elimination from Euro 2020’s last-16 by Switzerland on June 28, the 33-year-old had been resting.
Karim Benzema has tested positive for Covid-19 after returning to training for Real Madrid after his summer holiday following the Euros. Benzema, along with international teammate Raphael Varane, returned to duties for Madrid at their Valdebebas field on Thursday.
Because of his positive test, he will miss a significant portion of Madrid’s pre-season preparations for the new season.
The players will travel to Scotland ahead of their Sunday evening meeting against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
Benzema, on the other hand, will be unable to fly to face the Scottish Premiership winners and will instead take a long vacation from training as he isolates himself from the rest of the squad.
Benzema will miss Real Madrid’s friendly against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on Sunday. He will remain in isolation until he is able to test negative for the virus, after which he will be able to rejoin his colleagues in training.
Real Madrid is looking to improve on last season, when they finished second in LaLiga to local rivals Atletico Madrid and were knocked out of the Champions League in the semi-finals by eventual champions Chelsea.
After scoring 30 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions last season, Benzema is anticipated to play a key role once again.
