Psg Extends Mauricio Pochettinos Contract Until 2023

What’s been said so far?
“I’m incredibly thrilled, for myself and for my staff,” Pochettino added.
“It’s crucial for us to have the club’s trust, and we’ll do everything we can to ensure that the fans are proud of Paris Saint-Germain.”
“As a result, we will work together to achieve our goals.”
I was the captain of this club twenty years ago, and now I am the coach.
“We are thrilled that Mauricio has reinforced his commitment to the Paris Saint-Germain family,” said PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
“As a former captain of the squad, he understands the club’s values, ambitions, and future vision.”
We’re excited and confident about what the future holds under Mauricios guidance.” What has he accomplished in Paris? Pochettino was appointed following the resignation of Thomas Tuchel in the midst of a very competitive Ligue 1 title fight.
Pochettino helped to right the ship in Paris after a string of dismal defeats under Tuchel, which saw them lose first position to Lille, but Christophe Galtier’s side were eventually too strong for PSG.
On April 3, Lille won a title-deciding encounter between the two teams at the Parc des Princes, with Jonathan David scoring the game-winning goal.
Lille won the title by a point courtesy to a 2-1 victory against Angers in the final game of the season.
Pochettinos team did make it to the Champions League semi-finals, but were defeated by Manchester City.
In addition, the Argentine won his first two managing awards, the Trophee des Champions in January and the Coupe de France in May.
How is PSG gearing up for the new season?
Pochettinos side is utilizing all of their clout in the transfer market after losing their Ligue 1 title for the first time in four years.
On free transfers, they have signed former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, Euro 2020 champion and player of the tournament Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Premier League and Champions League winner Georginio Wijnaldum.
Achraf Hakimi, the Serie A champion, has also signed for a significant fee from Inter Milan, with Mitchel Bakker, the lone first-team exit thus far.
While Neymar signed a four-year contract extension in May, Kylian Mbappe’s future is uncertain as he enters the final season of his contract.
