Alex Telles A Manchester United Defender Could Miss The Start Of The Season Due To An Ankle Injury

After suffering an ankle injury, Manchester United defender Alex Telles could miss the start of the season.
The Brazilian left-back suffered the injury during the club’s training camp in Surrey earlier this week and has since returned home, missing Saturday’s friendly against QPR.
‘Unfortunately, Alex slipped and twisted his ankle, so he’ll be out for a few weeks,’ said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who recently signed a new contract with the club.
Alex Telles may miss the start of the season after slipping and twisting his ankle in training, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. ‘We’re hoping it’s not too bad, but he’ll be out for a little while,’ he said.
It creates a issue for United at left-back, as Luke Shaw has yet to return to training following his heroics with England at Euro 2020.
Shaw and his Manchester United teammates, who were selected for England’s squad, are set to resume training in the coming weeks.
The left-back was originally reported to have suffered a rib injury at the Euros and is hoping to be healthy for the start of the Premier League season against Leeds on August 14.
