Aston Villa Is Reportedly Contemplating A New Ps200000 Per Week Package To Persuade Jack Grealish To Reject Manchester City

Aston Villa are attempting to persuade star midfielder Jack Grealish to reject Manchester City by reportedly offering him a new contract worth PS200,000 per week.
The 25-year-old, who scored two assists for England at Euro 2020 and is currently on holiday, has been linked with a British-record PS100 million transfer as the Premier League winners look to rebuild their roster, which also includes the signing of Harry Kane.
According to The Sun, Villa want to do all necessary to keep their captain and boyhood hero by offering him a lucrative new deal.
Grealish performed for Aston Villa and is allegedly ready to be handed a large new contract. The news could be a blow to Pep Guardiola’s aspirations of acquiring one of his top targets.
Grealish’s last contract was signed in September 2020, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2025.
According to Sportrac, he is already Villa’s best paid player, earning PS120,000 per week, with Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins earning PS80,000 and PS75,000 per week, respectively.
Grealish and compatriot Tyrone Mings are the two highest-paid players at Villa Park. Grealish had 12 Premier League assists last season, second only to Harry Kane. If Grealish signs the reported deal, he will become one of the top earners in the Premier League.
The potential of playing in the Champions League, on the other hand, may complicate Grealish’s choice to stay at Villa Park.
Although missing much of the second half of last season due Harry injury, the midfielder had his greatest season ever, scoring six league goals and assisting 12 times, second only to Kane (14 assists) in England’s top division in 2020-21.
