Donyell Malen Is Likely To Join Borussia Dortmund For Ps26 Million After Impressing At Euro 2020

Following some outstanding performances at Euro 2020, Donyell Malen is expected to join Borussia Dortmund.
Last season, the 22-year-old was PSV Eindhoven’s second-highest striker in the Eredivisie, and he then excelled as the Netherlands advanced to the round of 16 before being ousted by the Czech Republic.
Despite Liverpool’s interest in the forward, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds did not make a bid, despite Dortmund having already signed some of the paperwork.
Donyell Malen had two assists for the Netherlands at Euro 2020. The 22-year-old came into the tournament following a strong season with PSV Eindhoven. Malen replaces Jadon Sancho, who has finalised his Manchester United move. The transaction, for EUR30 million (PS26 million), will be completed providing the medical goes smoothly.
Malen was most often employed as part of a front two alongside Eran Zahavi at PSV, but he was occasionally utilized as a lone striker.
But, after Jadon Sancho’s PS73 million move to Manchester United on Friday, Frank de Boer utilized him in a broader forward role this summer, with new Dortmund boss Marco Rose no doubt impressed by Malen’s adaptability.
Sancho developed a lethal relationship with Erling Haaland at Signal Iduna Park, with the pair netting 81 goals in all competitions between them since the Norwegian’s debut in January last year. Malen will attempt to repeat the deadly partnership between Sancho and Erling Haaland.
On Saturday, Haaland made his first appearance of the season as Rose’s side lost 2-0 to Athletic Bilbao in St. Petersburg.
Switzerland, St. Gallen.
