Shane Bieber Has Been Placed On The 60 Day Disabled List By The Indians

According to Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal (via Twitter), Indians right-hander Cam Hill has been reinstated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A.
Hill missed the entire season after undergoing arm surgery as a consequence of a vehicle accident.
Last season, he made his first 18 starts, pitching 18 1/3 innings with a 4.91 ERA/5.43 FIP.
According to the organization, Shane Bieber was placed on the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster for Hill.
Bieber had been out with a subscapularis strain for 39 days.
It was unclear when he was placed on the injured list (June 14) how long Cleveland would be without their ace.
The earlier hell’s return is currently three weeks away, on August 15th.
At 90 2/3 innings pitched, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner was leading the Major Leagues in innings pitched at the time of his injury.
He had a 3.28 ERA and a 33.9 percent strikeout rate, which was good enough for sixth place in the Majors.
Since Bieber’s injury, the Indians have slipped from a 4.5-game deficit to a nine-game deficit to the division leaders.
