While Patrick Vieira Continues His Rebuilding Crystal Palace Are Closing In On A Eur22 Million Deal For Defender Joachim Andersen

While Patrick Vieira continues to develop the team in south London, he is close to completing the signing of Lyon defender Joachim Andersen.
Although not being a regular member of Scott Parker’s side, the Danish defender shined during his loan season with Fulham last season, earning the captaincy.
Andersen, who was also a target for London rivals Tottenham this summer, is expected to cost an initial EUR22 million, with an additional EUR5 million in add-ons.

Talks for a new deal are ongoing, but the two parties are at odds about remuneration, with the Eagles attempting to reduce the former Chelsea defender’s basic income.
Ozan Kabak, a Schalke defender who spent last season on loan at Liverpool, is also being pursued.
