Man United Are Close To Reaching A Personal Terms Agreement With Real Madrid Defender Raphael Varanes Representation

Manchester United and the representatives of Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane are close to reaching an agreement in principle on personal terms.
According to Sky Sports News, the French centre-back returned to training in Spain while his representatives worked to finalize personal terms with the Premier League club.
Despite the fact that these discussions are still underway, it is thought that many of the elements of his prospective contract have been agreed upon.
United have yet to agree on a cost with Real Madrid, but there is growing optimism that a deal may be reached.
The 28-year-old is also said to desire to join last season’s Premier League runners-up.
United is hoping to rapidly negotiate a fee and add Varane to their team once a definitive agreement is achieved.
Varane, who has established himself as one of the world’s best defenders, would be a huge statement of intent to contend with Manchester City for the Premier League crown next season.
In the summer of 2011, he joined Real from Lens in France.
He went on to make over 350 appearances for the club and 79 times for France, helping them win the 2018 World Cup.
He started all four of their Euro 2020 matches before they were eliminated by Switzerland.
United’s Premier League season begins on August 14 when they host Leeds United at Old Trafford.
1:00 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks the arrival of Jadon Sancho reminds United’s fans that ‘we mean business.’ United are still active in the transfer market, having just signed Jadon Sancho for PS73 million from Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho, whose transfer to Old Trafford was agreed in principle on July 1, had a physical earlier this month following his involvement in the Euro 2020 tournament.
Sancho has agreed to a five-year contract with United, with a one-year extension option, and will wear the No. 25 shirt for his new club.
0:18 Despite rumours regarding Paul Pogba’s future at United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists the Frenchman is always professional.
In the face of interest from Paris Saint-Germain, he is ‘increasingly unlikely’ to sign a new contract extension at Manchester United.
Pogba’s representatives and United representatives failed to reach an agreement, according to sources, with the France midfielder rejecting a specific offer.
The 28-year-old is in the final year of his current contract, and United must now decide whether to sell him this summer or keep him until the end of his deal.
On the first weekend of the 2021/22 Premier League season, Manchester United will host Leeds United at Old Trafford.
United will play three games in October and November, beginning with a trip to Leicester on October 16, the first meeting with Liverpool at Old Trafford on October 23, and a trip to Tottenham on October 30.
The first Manchester derby of the season takes place on November 6 when champions Manchester City visit Old Trafford, before United travels to Champions League winners Chelsea on November 27 and finishes the month by hosting Arsenal on November 30.
