When The Washington Huskies Open Camp There Are Nine Athletes Im Most Excited To See

SEATTLE — Washington head coach Jimmy Lake, left lineman Jaxson Kirkland, and cornerback Trent McDuffie will attend the Pac-12 Media Day in Los Angeles later this morning.
The annual event serves as an unofficial kickoff to the 2021 season, with training camps set to begin in the coming weeks. UW is set to begin camp on August 1st.
As the Huskies prepare for their Sept. 1 game, here are nine individuals whose improvement I’m most interested in tracking next month — one from each offensive and defensive position group.
Quarterback Sam HuardThere was no doubt that returning starter Dylan Morris and Colorado State transfer Patrick OBrien were the top two quarterback performers this spring, with Huard only days removed from his final high school game before workouts began.
Can he be able to keep the competition exciting in August?
He’s had the summer to spend more time with the UW receivers and study the playbook (a recent Instagram video showed him throwing with Rome Odunze), and he flashed five-star talent in April, displaying his exquisite touch on several spectacular deep throws.
