Arsenal Has Enquired About Inters Lautaro Martinez Who Is Valued At Ps77 Million

Arsenal have reportedly made an approach for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez as part of their ambitious recruitment drive.
The Arsenal are in talks with Brighton to sign England defender Ben White for PS50 million, while they have also been linked with Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
For PS22 million, they signed Portuguese full-back Nuno Tavares and Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Arsenal have reportedly made an approach for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez (left). Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to recruit a new striker before the end of the transfer season, and Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham is on their wishlist. However, the Champions League winners are seeking a PS40 million transfer fee.
According to The Telegraph, the Gunners are now seeking for options and have contacted Inter about Martinez.
Martinez was reportedly willing to sell for EUR90 million (PS77 million) this summer, according to reports earlier this month.
Martinez’s current deal at the San Siro has two years left on it after he scored 19 goals in 48 appearances last season.
Tammy Abraham has been linked with a move to Arsenal from Chelsea, but his move could be contingent on the Gunners offloading two attackers. The Gunners are still interested in signing the 23-year-old England international Abraham, who has dropped severely down the Chelsea pecking order.
Abraham is a fan of Arteta’s, and Arsenal has been planning to reinforce their strikeforce for several months.
According to reports, the agreement will be structured as an initial loan with a PS40 million obligation-to-buy clause.
If Arsenal sign Abraham, Alexandre Lacazette might be one of the players obliged to make way. Eddie Nketiah is another player seeking clarity on his future at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal would pay a major portion – if not all – of Abraham’s PS80,000-a-week wages during the loan period.
Nevertheless, according to The Athletic, Arsenal will need to shed Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah first, given Abraham’s potential price tag and salaries.
Arsenal would risk losing the pair for free in the summer of 2022 because their contracts have one year left on them.
Nketiah, 22, has been given a new contract by the club after scoring six goals in 29 appearances last season. Nevertheless, he wants assurances regarding his long-term future before accepting it.
