Arsenal Are Interested In Signing Leicester Midfielder James Maddison But Are Keeping An Eye On Martin Odegaards Position

Arsenal are interested in signing Leicester City’s James Maddison, but are keeping an eye on Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard’s position as they attempt to buy an offensive midfielder this summer.
Leicester do not want to sell Maddison, and it is believed that a price in excess of PS70 million would be required before they would contemplate moving the 24-year-old.
Maddison is under contract until 2024, thus the Foxes are under no obligation to sell.
Odegaard’s position at Real Madrid is also being monitored by Arsenal.
The Norwegian midfielder was on loan at Arsenal for the second half of last season, but has since returned to Real to compete for a starting spot.
In an Instagram post earlier this month, Odegaard appeared to rule out a return to Arsenal, but there are rising speculations in Spain that Real could let him to depart with his contract set to end in 2023.
Arsenal are still in talks with Sheffield United about signing Aaron Ramsdale. Permanent moves for either player would necessitate large transfer costs, and it is thought that Arsenal may need to sell players to assist fund moves in the market.
Arsenal are also interested in signing Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, with talks over a fee continuing through intermediaries.
1:08 Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth discusses why this summer might be the best moment for Chelsea to trade England international forward Tammy Abraham. Sky Sports News revealed earlier this week that Arsenal is interested in loaning Tammy Abraham to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Ben White’s PS50 million transfer from Brighton is nearing completion and should be completed within the next few days.
Granit Xhaka’s prospective deal to Roma is still hanging on because to a valuation disparity between Arsenal and the Serie A side. Bellerin is in talks with Inter.
All parties are hoping that a deal may be reached this summer.
4:45 Relive some of Granit Xhaka’s highlights and lowlights since joining Arsenal in 2016. Hector Bellerin’s agent was in Milan last week negotiating a deal to Serie A champions Inter Milan.
Inter want to loan the Arsenal right-back, but the Gunners want a sale, or at the very least a loan with a purchase option.
Bellerin’s contract expires in 2023, and neither Arsenal nor Bellerin have any plans to prolong his tenure at Emirates Stadium.
This window, according to the club, is the best time to maximize a transfer fee.
After a good loan stay on Tyneside last season, Newcastle United are still working on a deal to buy Joe Willock.
Despite manager Mikel Arteta publicly stating that he was part of his plans, Arsenal are willing to let him go.
Newcastle want to re-sign Joe Willock after his loan stay last season. Arsenal are also considering letting forwards Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah depart this summer, despite the fact that both are in the final year of their contracts.
Both strikers’ departures would open up room in the team for a new signing, with Chelsea’s Abraham a possible possibility.
If the appropriate bids came in, Arsenal would consider selling Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson.
Both academy products have a contract that runs until 2023.
