Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy appears to have put his problems behind him as he relaxes in the sea on the French Riviera with his wife and sister-in-law.
The 66-year-old politician is awaiting a decision after a month-long corruption trial ended in June, during which the court attempted to decide whether he broke campaign finance laws during his failed 2012 re-election effort.
He could face up to six months in prison and a fine of 3,750 euros if proven guilty.
But, new images show the ex-President enjoying himself just weeks after his trial ended, as he changed into swimming shorts and flippers for a day at the beach in Cap Negre, while his wife, former First Lady Carla Bruni, flaunted her slim figure in a purple swimming suit.
Carla’s sister Valeria Bruni Tedeschi joined the couple for the day, dressed in a polka dot bikini, straw hat, and flip flops.

With a white robe, she strolled down to the seafront before stripping down and taking a plunge in the water.
Carla, who has an eight-year-old daughter with Nicolas and a 19-year-old son with a prior relationship, picked up her phone to make a call while perched on the rocks.

Carla, a former Bulgari model, is a frequent visitor to Cap Negre, a popular celebrity hangout in the south of France.
It comes a month after Sarkozy’s trial in Paris came to an end.
The decision will be handed out on September 20th.
Prosecutors have asked for a six-month jail sentence, a six-month suspended sentence, and a fine of 3,750 euros.
Sarkozy insists he has done nothing wrong.
He is accused of spending nearly double the legal limit of 22.5 million euros on his re-election campaign, which he lost to Socialist Francois Hollande.
