As He Sits Out The Start Of Manchester Uniteds Season Marcus Rashford Claims His Shoulder Surgery Went Well

Marcus Rashford says surgery on his long-standing shoulder problem went well as he begins a layoff with Manchester United.
The 23-year-old forward, who had been dealing with the problem for all of the season, travelled to Euro 2020 and hit the post in England’s penalty shoot-out loss to Italy in the final.
Rashford chose to have the problem corrected after the Euros, and United confirmed at the end of July that he would have surgery after consulting with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, club medical staff, and doctors.
In a social media post that includes an shot of his left arm in a sling and shoulder in a bandage, the England striker acknowledged that the operation took place on August 6.
“Thank you for all of your well wishes,” Rashford wrote on Twitter.
“On Friday morning, I had my operation, and everything went really well.”
“I’m a little sore, but otherwise I’m fine.”
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
Rashford might return to training next month, according to the PA news agency, but he could miss roughly 12 weeks for club and country.
United’s Premier League season begins on Saturday against Leeds at Old Trafford, while England has five World Cup qualifiers scheduled during Rashford’s absence.
“It is unclear when Marcus will return to play,” United added. “We wish him well in his rehabilitation.”
