As A Setback To Manchester City Phil Foden Could Be Out For Another Month

Phil Foden has stated that his foot ailment will keep him out for the first three or four weeks of the season.
The Manchester City and England midfielder is concerned about a issue that has forced him to withdraw from the Euro 2020 final.
Foden told Sky Sports News, “It’s still a little bit sore.”
“It was such a pity to have to do it so close to the Euro final.”
It was a huge setback, but I’m working hard in the gym to get back on track as quickly as possible.
I’m guessing it’ll take three to four weeks.
Foden’s injury means he’ll have to wait to play with England teammate Jack Grealish, City’s new record signing for PS100 million.
“I’m really delighted he’s signed here, and maybe I’ll be able to get back to playing with him and enjoy my football,” he stated.
On the field, he’s fearless and capable of turning a game around on his own.
Kevin De Bruyne, City’s playmaker, is also expected to miss the start of the Premier League season due to an ankle injury received while playing for Belgium.
On Sunday, the club will play its first match at Tottenham Hotspur.
As it became clear that he would miss the Euro 2020 final against Italy, Foden revealed he cried.
“I remember chatting to the manager [Gareth Southgate] after I was injured and just burst out crying – the despair,” Foden recalled.
“But on the day of the game, I was just hoping the team would win; it’s just a shame we didn’t.”
