Phil Foden Is Expected To Miss The First Few Weeks Of The Season Due To A Foot Injury

Phil Foden has stated that his foot ailment will keep him out for the first three or four weeks of the new season.
The Manchester City midfielder is still bothered by the injury that kept him out of England’s Euro 2020 final appearance this summer.
On Sunday, Manchester City face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League for the first time.
“It’s still a little bit sore,” the 21-year-old told Sky Sports News.
It was such a pity that it happened so close to the Euro final.
It was a huge setback, but I’m working hard in the gym to get back on track as quickly as possible.
“I’m guessing it’ll take three to four weeks.”
Foden’s injury means he’ll have to wait to play with England teammate Jack Grealish, City’s new record signing for PS100 million.
“I’m really delighted he’s signed here, and maybe I’ll be able to get back to playing with him and enjoy my football,” he stated.
“On the ball, he’s fearless and can turn a game around on his own.”
Kevin De Bruyne, City’s playmaker, is also poised to miss the start of the Premier League season due to an ankle injury he acquired while on international duty with Belgium in the summer.
